Printable Pool League Score Sheet

Fill in the teams and the night's matchups, and this builds a score sheet you can print: each player's race or points target, boxes to tick off games, an innings tally, defensive shots and time-outs.

An unofficial sheet for practice nights, home leagues and keeping your own records. For a sanctioned league match, use your league's official scoresheet.

How to keep score on the sheet

  • Games or points. Tick a box for each game won (8-ball) or write the running points (9-ball). The match ends when a player reaches their number.
  • Innings. List the lag winner on top. An inning is complete, and gets a stroke, when the player who lost the lag misses or fouls. A break-and-run that ends the game isn't marked. That is how the APA's scoring guide counts innings, and innings are what handicaps are built on.
  • Defensive shots. Mark any shot taken without trying to pocket a ball. Unless the shooter says it was defensive, the scorekeeper decides. Our APA sandbagging article explains why this column matters more than it looks.
  • Time-outs. In APA Open play, skill levels 3 and below get two coaching time-outs per game and 4 and up get one. The sheet prints the right number of boxes.
