After setup
Once level, keep the table that way. Do not sit or lean on the rails, avoid dragging it, and brush the cloth regularly rather than vacuuming aggressively. On a slate table, re-check level once after the first few weeks as the room and frame settle. If you ever move the table, have it professionally disassembled and re-leveled rather than sliding it across the floor.
